With this wedding coming up I’ve been on a hunt for vintage items. Right now I’m hunting for mason jars. Thanks to my cousin she suggested FreeCycle.org.
The concept of FreeCycle is simple. Things are exchanged through ads for a fantastic price of FREE. So for example if you are looking for something you place a “wanted” ad on the group. Or if you are already considering throwing something away you place an “offer” ad. Like that good saying goes “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”.
So yesterday was my first freecycle experience. I placed an ad for mason jars. Luckily within 24 hours someone replied offering 6 jars! She left them on her porch and I picked them up without any awkward exchange of words.
So if you don’t mind used and free check out your local freecycle city groups. You never know what people are offering for free!
